We took the time to try out many different weight loss pills in order to see which ones work, which ones don’t, and what the side effects are if any.
Let’s face it, finding the right weight loss pill can be both difficult and time-consuming.
New diet pills are pouring onto the market in 2019 too fast, and no one can really have time, money and desire to try them all, not to mention the health risks involved in doing so.
But, we took our time to test various weight loss products, so you don’t have to.
What we learned will probably not surprise you at all, and that’s that the vast majority (approximately 95%) of these pills simply don’t do anything. Some of them will help you lose 1-3% of your body weight very temporarily, which you’ll inevitably get back, but most don’t even do that much.
That said, there are definitely a few diamonds in the row out there. So, we’ve taken 3 of the top pills and rated them for you, so you can see for yourself just how powerful and effective they are.
We’ve tested them for effectiveness, safety, and reliability.
So, without further ado, here are the three best diet pills:
The Number One Weight Loss Pill: PhenQ
Why is PhenQ #1 on this list? Well, it does more than just suppress your appetite or boost your metabolism.
In fact, it’s a three-in-one diet pill, which will help you lose weight in many ways.

Rather than focusing on one aspect, and possibly overdoing it (as is the case with Phentermine), with PhenQ you’re getting a more well-rounded approach. It doesn’t work as powerfully in any one area, but it has 3 things it does do to help you take off weight quickly.
What Does It Do?
- Like Phen24, PhenQ is a metabolism booster. So you’ll find that you’re naturally able to lose weight easier with less exercise.
- PhenQ also works as an appetite suppressor, like Phentermine, but not as powerful. With Phentermine, you’re basically stopping your appetite completely, but with PhenQ, you’re just craving food less, which is good.
- Unlike either of the other two, PhenQ also helps you by making your body accumulate fewer fatty acids (simply put, PhenQ blocks new fat cells deposits).
So, as you can see, this is a powerful 3-way combination:
a) You’re eating less because of the appetite suppressant, and b) out of what you do eat, less of it is getting stored as fat, and c) whatever DOES get stored as fat will be burned faster because it’s also increasing your metabolism.
PhenQ doesn’t have many of the same problems which you’ll often find with other pills.
Aside from its special 3-in-1 weight loss formula, we were pleasantly surprised at how it lacked negative side effects.
Most other supplements had some major problem with them. For instance, they had such health-related drawbacks as nausea, fatigue, itchy skin, and heart burn.

As more diet pills come out, we’ll check to see if they’re better than PhenQ, however as of writing, PhenQ definitely seems to be the leader on the weight loss market, and a tough pill to beat in general.
#2 Weight Loss Pills: Phen24
If you want an over-the-counter, safe alternative to Phentermine, Phen24 could be what you’re looking for.
What Phen24 does is boost your metabolism, so you’re able to lose weight naturally. Increasing your metabolism allows your body to lose weight faster regardless of whether you’re sleeping or on the treadmill.
Granted, Phen24 isn’t as useful in terms of its ability to help you form all new habits of eating, but, it’s still quite effective, and very safe compared to Phentermine.

Not only will you be boosting your metabolism with this one, it’ll also help you lose weight by improving your digestive functions.
Imagine being able to shed pounds much faster with the same amount of exercise, and without having to worry about the health risks of a more powerful prescription drug. That’s what you’re getting with this diet pill.
Phen24 will work for you regardless of whether you’re a man or a woman.
Diet Pills #3: Phentermine
Phentermine, as stated before, is a diet pill which definitely works, but which has serious risks associated with it.
You shouldn’t even consider taking Phentermine unless you’re considered morbidly obese for your height (usually people who are at least 300 pounds).
Phentermine (which is a prescription-only drug) is prescribed for people whose weight is a real health concern to them.
If you just want to lose a few pounds for the summer months so you can impress people in your new bathing suit, then Phentermine is NOT the drug for you.
That said, if your weight is causing you major health problems, then feel free to talk to your doctor about Phentermine. It will work for most people.
Phentermine Is For People Who’s Weight Is a Health Concern
Phentermine must be the last option for most people. If you’ve tried all the other possible solutions (adjusting your diet is the first one), and you absolutely have to lose weight to avoid risks of a heart attack or stroke, for example, then Phentermine is probably a good option.
Your body is designed such a way to naturally tell you when it is time to eat, and when you are full. When you are on Phentermine, this simply doesn’t happen.
Instead, your appetite is suppressed totally, and your body doesn’t tell you when it’s hungry.
This is obviously unhealthy for many reasons, because your body still needs nutrients in order to sustain itself.
When on Phentermine, you consequently begin to eat too little (800-1200 calories per day on average). So it gives you the chance to redo your eating habits, so you’re eating less on a constant basis, which can help you maintain healthy weight after you quit Phentermine.
All diets require you to change your eating habits. Phentermine is just there to make it a lot easier for you because it’s really tough to change your eating habits when you’re craving unhealthy foods so often.
On top of just acting as an appetite suppressant, Phentermine will also give you a jolt of energy, making it easy for you to go to the gym, or go out for a jog.
But Phentermine Has Some Serious Downsides: What Are They?
One of the biggest issues with Phentermine, is that after about 6 months, the drug will stop working for you.
This means you have about 6 months to straighten out your eating habits, and if you can’t do it within that timeframe, then overall, Phentermine wasn’t a long-term success for you (even if you managed to lose 10-20 pounds on it, you will gain them back very fast).
On the upside, if you are able to develop much more healthy eating habits within 6 months, then chances are, Phentermine was indeed a long-term success for you, and you’ve managed to get your bad eating habits under control for good.
Naturally, given this, you’re probably wondering what your odds of success with Phentermine.
The majority of people who use Phentermine do succeed. It has a 56% rate of success and only a 20% failure rate.
24% of people weren’t entirely sure whether it worked or not. Overall, that’s a much higher rate of success than you’d get with most similar products.
We should mention that Phentermine is similar to amphetamines in terms of how it’s chemically structured, which is why it’s so powerful, but also should only be taken with supreme caution.
If you don’t want to risk harming your health, there are plenty of good substitutes are below.
3 Important Things to Remember to Lose Weight
You may want to save these so you don’t forget. They’re that important.
1. Always ensure your body gets the water it needs to thrive
This seems so simple, but it really does make a huge difference. It’s advice that most people will simply ignore, but to do so is just inadvisable.
You see, when your body isn’t getting all the fluid it needs, it causes you to feel hungry.
This means, rather than consuming a normal, healthy amount of food, instead, you’re going to be eating a lot more than you should.
But it’s not just important that you’re drinking liquids, you also want to be drinking the right liquids.
For instance, if you like to drink sodas, or other high-sugar drinks (fruit juices as well) then your body is taking in extra sugar it shouldn’t be.
Water is great to drink, because not only does it not contain nasty sugars and calories found in sweet drinks, it also acts as a natural detoxifier. It removes what are called “metabolic wastes” out of the body.
So, you may be wondering “How much water should I drink?”.
It’s an old trope that you should “drink 8 glasses per day” however this isn’t true for everyone.
For the average woman, 8 glasses are sufficient, but men should drink 9-10 glasses of water per day.
Believe it or not, you also want to avoid drinking when you eat because you naturally end up eating more than you would have otherwise.
It is best to drink about 20 minutes prior to each meal, and about 50 minutes after.
These simple tips, when implemented into your everyday life, may surprise you with their results over time, and it won’t cost you hardly anything to consume more water, so make sure you do it.
2. Always make sure to get good 7-8 hours of sleep
Few people know this, but getting to bed at a reasonable hour actually helps your body to lose weight.
Why does this happen?
Your body releases what’s called melatonin while you sleep, which will keep your stress levels low during the day, and leave you feeling great.
This, in turn, will allow you to stay nice and relaxed, thus avoiding stress, and thus, not gaining extra weight due to added stress. And by the way, stress and hunger often walk along.
What time should you get to bed? The best time is 9-10 p.m. The sooner you go to sleep, the more melatonin will be released to the body.
Now, why then does stress cause us to pack on pounds?
In pre-historic times, when we were evolving as a civilization, food was often scarce, and when there wasn’t enough food to go around, naturally, we would feel stressed out.
So, our body correlates the feeling of stress with “not having enough food”, and so it forces your body to store more fat just in case it isn’t going to get food any time soon.
Granted you may just be stressed because of work for example, but your body doesn’t know this, so it stores fat regardless.
So, make sure you get to bed early and get plenty of rest. Not only will this leave you feeling better throughout the day, but it’ll also make you fitter and healthier.
3. Make sure to eat less junk food
Junk food is loosely defined as food which has almost no real nutritional value.
This type of food will really cause you to put on a lot of weight you wouldn’t have otherwise had. Aside from lacking in nutrients, it’s also usually high in all the things you really don’t want, such as trans fat, sugar, fast carbs, preservatives, GMOs.
Junk foods are generally put into one of two categories.
You’ve got snack foods which are things like pies, shakes, candies, etc, and then you’ve got fast food, which is basically what you’d get at a place like Burger King or McDonalds (fries, onion rings, burgers, etc). Soda, despite being a liquid, is also generally classified as being a junk food.
Most doctors agree that junk food is bad for you and will cause you to pack on pounds if not eaten in moderation. However, weight gain isn’t the only issue you’ll get from eating too much junk food.
It’s also really bad for your teeth, your blood pressure, heart, and it’s been found to make it more likely for you to get certain types of cancers as well.
To add insult to injury, some junk foods actually make you feel HUNGRIER, not FULLER, which will cause you to eat more food than you need.
The health risks associated with junk food doesn’t stop people from eating it, unfortunately. Annually, the U.S spends $20+ billion on just candies.
So what should we basically consume? First of all, any good diet will include foods that are high in Omega-3 fatty acids. This means eating certain nuts, fish, and avocados.
You also want to take in foods that are high in fiber. These include whole grain bread and pasta, as well as red and green vegetables.
Eating meat which is high in protein is good for you as well. Turkey, chicken, and tuna would be good examples of this.
Additionally, it is good to consume what are known as “slow carbs”. You’ll find these in foods such as buckwheat, rye, and oats.
You don’t have to cut junk food out of your diet completely, just ensure that you’re only eating it in moderation (the 80/20 rule).
Bonus Tip: Try to focus on doing exercises which you really enjoy
The tips above are great, but there’s even more you can do to stay fit.
What else can you do? Well, you can go to the gym and get some good exercise. Exercise only accounts for about 20% of your overall weight loss results, so you don’t need to spend all day at the gym, but some exercise is a very good thing.
In order to get more exercise, find activities you enjoy, and focus on doing those. These could include karate, ice skating, kayaking, hiking, or simply interval running while listening to your favorite music.
By finding healthy activities you enjoy, getting exercising will feel 100x easier, and more fun, as well.
If you want to shed the pounds as quickly as possible:
- If you’re a man, drink 10 glasses of water per day, 8 is OK if you’re a woman.
- Get to bed earlier. Around 9-10 at night is best.
- Limit the amount of junk food you consume following the rule of 80/20.
- Find exercises you enjoy, and do them to stay healthy.
- Try one of the weight loss products listed above to make losing weight even easier. Those are the best diet pills available on the market in 2019.
